As much as I love using Doodlebug Design’s bright and cheerful 6×6 paper pads, once in awhile I like to change it up a bit. I like to make cards that offer encouragement or brighten someone’s day. Showing kindness to others is so important. That’s why I personally mail out quite a few handmade cards every month.

For my latest 6×6 Series, I decided to use only faith-based stamps and a neutral colored paper pad from Reverse Confetti called Free Spirit. I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial and tried to keep the cards fairly flat so they wouldn’t require extra postage to mail.

I made a total of 36 cards using the Free Spirit collection from Reverse Confetti.

I recorded the entire 6×6 process. The video is sped up 8 times. The actual card-making time was around 4 hours, not including any die cutting time. I also created separate videos for each sketch used. Go HERE to see the first video in the series.

I used 4 sheets of 12″ x 12″ solid cardstock and 20 sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ solid cardstock along with the 6×6 paper pad. Here are all the scraps leftover.

Here are the pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Reverse Confetti’s Free Spirit 6×6 paper pad.

  • Thank you, Sue! I haven't used OWH sketch #98 in a long time and thought it was perfect to finish off the paper pad.

  • Hi Kristie

  • Thank you, Tracey! It was fun using a different style paper pad. You won't have to wait very long for the next 6×6 video.

  • I finally got around to watching the video and, as always, I'm impressed by your entire approach and process. It was great to see some of the sketches in more neutral colors, which I always find very calming. I know the guys enjoy them, too. Thanks so much for all the work you put into these videos and for making the production so "professional."

  • Thanks for watching my video, Lucy! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Sometimes it's good to work with neutral colors. Definitely better for masculine cards. Although it's harder to find paper pads in neutral color tones. Have a wonderful day!

  • Very very nice! I am starting a card making group at a Senior Residence and these will be perfect!!!
