Hello friends! It’s time for a new card challenge. I hope everyone had a change to participate or catch up now that I’ve extended the challenges to every 2 weeks.  I love seeing all the wonderful entries shared on my Instagram or Facebook pages.

The new challenge is Mojo Monday sketch 539. Make a card using the provided sketch. You don’t have to follow the sketch exactly, it’s simply for inspiration. There is no time frame. Be sure to check out all the entries for extra inspiration and leave some love. We can all use friendly encouragement right now. 💖

You can also enter your card over on Mojo Monday’s blog. Julee Tilman is the talented designer of this sketch.

For my card, I used some leftover papers and ephemera in Love From Lizi’s April 2020 card kit. (There are actually a few more kits available, if you are interested.) I added some pretty gold mirror cardstock for a little extra shine.

  • Love the sketch but have a question about the strip that is 1.5 x 4.75? Wouldn’t the 4.75 be to long or am I looking at the measurements wrong? Sorry to be a pain but I love using the sketches since Jenn introduced me. It has so helped me get my mo jo back. Blessings for health and safety for you and your family.

    • Hi Tricia! I’m glad you are enjoying using card sketches. They really are great for inspiration. The measurements are written for A2 size cards. 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″. So the strip fits very nicely if you make a vertical card. You’d have to shorten the strip if you decided to make a horizontal card instead. I followed the measurements for my card sample. I hope that makes sense. 🙂 Have a lovely weekend!

  • Hi–the strip is 1.5 inches wide x 4.75 inches high. The overall card size is 4.25 wide x 5.5 high (A2), so it would fit if you are making an A2 card. Hope that helps!

  • Beautiful card, Kristie! I love the floral pattern paper and the addition of the gold paper adds extra elegance. Looks like a fun challenge! Thanks for continuing these. 🙂

    • Thank you, Jeanne! It’s been fun using up some older papers and kits with my card challenges. I’m happy you are still enjoying them. I think switching to every other week allows more people the chance to participate. 🙂

    • Thank you so much, Julee! I love using your sketches and knew your latest sketch was perfect for one of my card challenges. Hopefully you are getting a few more participants this time. Have a lovely day!
