It is so hard to resist buying Doodlebug Designs 6×6 paper pads. They make such cute stuff! So, I decided to use my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial with the Cream & Sugar collection. I love all the darling food images and cheerful colors. The paper pad also has a great mix of pattern and tone-on-tone papers, which is great when doing my tutorial. I made a total of 32 cards using one 6×6 paper pad.

I recorded my entire process of disappearing the 6×6 paper pad. The video is sped up 9 times since the full recording time was over 7 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cut time. I have been asked several times if I record my 6×6 videos all in one day. And the answer is no. It usually takes me about 3-4 days. It just depends on how busy my life is that week. (While watching the videos, you may notice my shirt sleeves change a few times. ?)

In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 17 sheets of 12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock. Here are all the leftover scraps.

Here are the pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Doodlebug’s Cream & Sugar 6×6 paper pad.

  • Your cards are fabulous Kristie thank for the video it is always fun watching you make your cards! Hugs, Brenda

  • Thank you, Evelyn! I use a lot of my cards to send to friends and family. I donate cards to my church and also for silent auction baskets to different organizations.

  • Dear Kristie,
Thanks so much for all the time and effort you put into these videos. I used to watch them and think I just didn't have the time to do this kind of card marathon. However, when you posted the cards separately last time, it really encouraged me to give it a shot. I made a lot of cards for my friends, family, and students. Everyone is thrilled to get a handmade note of encouragement! Now I am ready to take on this next one! Thanks again for being an inspiration and blessing to me.

  • Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm glad I could provide some inspiration for you. The individual card videos were very popular and I do plan on doing more like that in future. I bet your friends and family were so blessed to receive a handmade card from you. Happy crafting to you!

  • Hi Kristie,
I'm new to watching your tutorials but I got hooked on the first one, which is the one you did in parts. I'm sort of new to this. I have been trying to be a card maker for many months now. To be honest it's very overwhelming when you attempting it by yourself. I don't have a local group or anything. But, you are very encouraging. The 4part series you did was so wonderful. The cards you did this time are simply adorable. Thanks

  • Thank you for your kind comments, Linda! I really appreciate it! I've gotten such a wonderful response to the individual video series, that I definitely plan on doing it again. I am very fortunate to have a great group of crafty friends that get together once a month. But I do most of my crafting by myself or with my 7-year old daughter.

  • Well here we are almost a year later and I'm back to watch again and get sketch measurements :0). Thanks so much for sharing these Kristie! It makes life sooo much easier! BTW, I did get 95 Christmas cards made for a local nursing home. Thank you so much for that idea!! Its absolutely a feel great task! Hugs, Angie

  • Thank you and welcome back! 95 Christmas cards to the nursing home is awesome! I'm sure your cards were greatly appreciated. I drop off a box of cards every month. Sometimes more for holidays. Sharing with others is part of the joy of crafting. Have a wonderful day! 🙂
