Hello and welcome to the first card challenge of March for Cards in Envy. The theme is Green Things. Cards can be any theme, but need to show lots of green.

I’ve been having so much fun using different background dies lately. I pulled out this older one from MFT to make my card. I dug through my cardstock scraps for an assortment of greens to make the background. Then added the sweet Lawn Fawn otter and an uplifting sentiment stamp from Lil Inker Designs.

Image stamp – Lawn Fawn

Sentiment stamp – Lil Inker Designs

Background die – My Favorite Things

Star banner die – Reverse Confetti

Banner die – Reverse Confetti

Small star die – Paper Smooches

Markers – Copic

Glossy Accents

Wink of Stella glitter pen

Bling – from stash

Ink – Lawn Fawn

Be sure to check out the rest of the Cards in Envy design team’s cards. I’d love for you to play along with our card challenge. Just remember to keep your card fairly flat so it fits nicely in an envelope.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

  • I like the way Linda G (above) thinks! What a great way to use that die. I own that one and only seem to make snow or water so thank you for showing me it can be used for other things! I love the sentiment, too!

  • Thank you, Jeanne! I don't usually make a lot of green cards. So it was a fun color challenge for me. 🙂

  • I actually didn't even think about the background looking like seaweed before. But now I can see it. I guess I chose the perfect critter. 🙂

  • It's so fun when things come together without totally planning them. I really hadn't thought about the green cardstock being seaweed, until Linda mentioned it. So fun! I just love the Lil Inker Designs stamp set. It has several great uplifting sentiments. 🙂
