Hello friends! Spellbinders just released their Universal Plate System and it’s Amazing! It includes 7 different layers so you can create the perfect sandwich when die cutting and embossing. They also released a bunch of fun 3D Embossing Folders. It was hard to choose only a few to play with. I love the extra dimension and details!

I used a couple different pattern paper pads for my cards.

All of my cards are American Standard A2 size.

I made 2 of each card design.

For my lemon card, I added a white paint splatter to the background. After it dried, I didn’t think it was very visible so I skipped adding it the second lemon card.

For my second card design, I used some pretty vibrant pattern paper by Paper Rose. I couldn’t decide if I preferred the embossed or debossed side, so I made one of each.

  • That circle embossing folder is awesome! I really liked the look with that paper. I love lemons, too. Hubby makes me a delicious lemon cake for my b-day each year!

  • Haha, this time I watched the video before I looked at the blog post. These are great, Kristie. The lemon card makes me smile! Thanks for sharing about the plates.
