My teenage son looks forward to summer camp every year. A week away from home with his friends, swimming and playing paint ball.  And no little sister or parents.

Even though he’s only gone for a week, I always make a special card and mail it to him. It’s hard to make cards for teenage boys. A friend recently gave me this fun ninja set from MFT, and I thought it was perfect. Especially since my son takes karate classes.

I used a newest sketch from Sketch Saturday and the Tall Triangle die cuts from Reverse Confetti for the background stripes.

Sketch – Sketch Saturday #470

Stamps – My Favorite Things

Tall triangle die cuts – Reverse Confetti

Embossing folder – Cuttlebug

Markers – Copic

Ink – Lawn Fawn

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

  • Hi Kristie! I saw your fun card in the Sketch Saturday Shout-outs and just had to stop by. Kudos to you! Sure your son loved it. 🙂

  • Thank you, Jennifer! It gets harder and harder the older he gets. But he seemed to like this card. 🙂

  • Thanks, Sybrina! It's so fun to have my card chosen as one of their faves. My son did like his card. I should probably start planning his card for next summer since it gets harder and harder every year. Have a wonderful day!
