My teenage son looks forward to summer camp every year. A week away from home with his friends, swimming and playing paint ball. And no little sister or parents.
Even though he’s only gone for a week, I always make a special card and mail it to him. It’s hard to make cards for teenage boys. A friend recently gave me this fun ninja set from MFT, and I thought it was perfect. Especially since my son takes karate classes.
I used a newest sketch from Sketch Saturday and the Tall Triangle die cuts from Reverse Confetti for the background stripes.
Sketch – Sketch Saturday #470
Stamps – My Favorite Things
Tall triangle die cuts – Reverse Confetti
Embossing folder – Cuttlebug
Markers – Copic
Ink – Lawn Fawn
Thanks for visiting my blog today!

Thank you, Gina! I hope he likes it. 🙂
I love Ninja's too!! So not just for Teenage boys 😉 Great card, I need more Ninja stamps in my stash. Thanks for playing along with us at Sketch Saturday. Claire DT
Thank you, Claire! My daughter likes ninjas too. So definitely not just for boys. 🙂
Love this card, and yes–it's hard to make cards for teen boys. I am glad you found something that works!
Hi Kristie! I saw your fun card in the Sketch Saturday Shout-outs and just had to stop by. Kudos to you! Sure your son loved it. 🙂
Thank you, Jennifer! It gets harder and harder the older he gets. But he seemed to like this card. 🙂
Thanks, Sybrina! It's so fun to have my card chosen as one of their faves. My son did like his card. I should probably start planning his card for next summer since it gets harder and harder every year. Have a wonderful day!
I love this! Such a clever use of the sketch and image, thanks for joining us at Sketch Saturday this week! x Jessie
