Hello friends! Every year make Veteran’s Day cards to give to the veterans at a local retirement home. I love getting the opportunity to say Thank You to those that served our country. I used some fun patriotic paper by Bella Blvd and a great stamp set by Altenew for my cards.
Since I get a lot of questions about how I prep cards for donation, I talk about my process in my video and briefly on this post.

I made a simple design for my cards. I used some fun stitched and pierced dies for extra detail and also some pretty iridescent cardstock for the star dies. I won’t be mailing the cards, so it was fine to add a little bit of dimension.
I made 25 cards total. The retirement home requests 50 cards for Veteran’s Day, but I have a local crafty friends that made the other 25.
The cards are considered Happy Mail for the residents so I include a hand written message inside every card. I do write the same message for all 25 cards.
I have a custom stamp I add to the back of all the cards I donate.
I include envelopes for all cards I donate. I stamp a sentiment or image on the envelopes for the retirement home. It helps the coordinator know what the card theme is since I also drop off general themed cards most months.
To seal the envelopes, I use a piece of cute washi tape. I like it to match the season or holiday. I never use the glue on the envelope since it makes the envelopes harder to open.

Thanks, Jeanne! Our veterans have done so much for me and our country. Giving them a thank you card is the least I can do. I’m so grateful for all of our veterans and service members. They truly are heroes.
Wonderful card and wonderful you for remembering our veterans every year. Thanks so much for all you do! I know those cards are very much appreciated.
