Paper Rose – Mystic Garden – 34 cards from one paper pack
Hello friends! I was so excited to start crafting again after my recent glaucoma surgery. It took me a bit longer to finish off the paper pad since I made sure to take breaks to rest my eye. I am feeling just fine and plan on working on more paper pad videos right away. It’s time to get started on Valentine’s Day cards.
For my next paper pad video, I used Paper Rose’s Mystic Garden A5 paper pack. It’s a lovely collection with fun colors and lots of image and sentiment cut aparts. I also used some other sentiment strips by Paper Rose on my cards, but no stamps this time.
In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 8 sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ and 11 sheets of 12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.
I forgot to take a picture of the cardstock, but listed most of the colors I used.
Cardstock colors – Black – Recollections Admiral – Bazzill Deep Navy – Darice Oceanic – Darice Night Water – Bazzill Classic Purple – Bazzill Flirty – Bazzill
Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. All of my cards are A2 size. For sketches that don’t include measurements, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Paper Rose Mystic Garden A5 paper collection.

I am glad your op went well – it is so important to have your eyes tested – the last we want is going blind
I have my first eye test when I was 6 years old and used glasses since I was 8 years old – being very short sighted
3 years ago I had an op for cataract and was told I had dry Age Related Deterioration but it is slow – at my age I should not worry.
Thank you! Yes, the last thing I want is for anyone to go blind. I’m glad your cataract surgery went well and you don’t need to worry about glaucoma. Not my case since I was diagnosed on the younger side. I’m very grateful for medical advancements that helped detect the disease early though.
So glad every thing went well and you are feeling good. Glad you are taking breaks, too! These cards are lovely. I’m always impressed by the delicate and beautiful cut aparts that are included in some of the products you use. Love From Lizi has some, too. I know I would normally overlook them(not having a good eye for how to best use them), but you showcase them beautifully and make me look twice. Thank you so much for sharing. Crafty hugs!
Thank you, Jeanne! I really enjoy all the lovely cut aparts included in many of Paper Rose’s collections. The cutting them out isn’t as fun, but it’s worth it. I hope you are having a lovely week! 🙂
I am happily surprised you’re feeling well and back to making videos again!! I LOVE the colors (purple!) and patterns in this paper pad! The ephemera is also lovely. My favorites are FMS 400, OWH 123, MFT 499, and the last one, especially the all blue version.. Well, pretty much all of them are my favorites. 🙂 Thank you for the inspiration. I am off to create some cards now–and putting this collection on my wish list!
Thanks, Jen! It feels so good to be crafting again, even if I’m taking it a bit slower right now. I love the colors in this collection. More blues and purples than pink, but that’s okay. 😉
