Welcome to Part One of my Christmas in July 6×6 Series.
It’s never too early to get started on Christmas cards. I tend to forget about it until the beginning of November. Then I’m trying to rush to get them made. So it feels great to already have a stack of Christmas cards done. Especially in July!
I’m using the Here Comes Santa Claus collection from Doodlebug Design and my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial. The designs in this collection are cute and fun and I just love the addition of the non-traditional Christmas colors. (It has PINK! How perfect is that!?!)
I recorded the entire disappearing 6×6 process and also created separate videos for each sketch used. At the end of the 6×6 series, I will post the sped up version of the entire tutorial.
I made a total of 4 cards using this sketch.
Sketch – My Favorite Things #323
Stamp – Lawn Fawn
Ink – Lawn Fawn
Brads – from stash
Thanks for visiting my blog today!

Hi Kristie
Love this new 6×6 tutorial. Fabulous colour combinations with the doodlebug paper collection. I'm sorting out my craft room this week, so maybe I'll be able to do Christmas cards next week…….
I always look forward to your 6×6 tutorials. As my dear dad used to say, "you haven't had a failure yet." I'd best get busy!
Hi Kristie- I am newer to your videos, but the few I have seen I've enjoyed very much!! I am curious about your trimmer. Could you give me the measurements and where you purchased?
Thank you for including the sketch measurements, it's very helpful!! :))
Thank you! Have fun going through your craft room! I hope you find all kinds of lost treasures.
Thank you, Lucy! Your dad had a great saying. Happy crafting to you!
Welcome Angela! Thanks for watching my videos! My trimmer is from Tonic Studios. It's the 6" x 12" guillotine trimmer with an attachment that extends to 12". I bought it many years ago, not sure where. But I've seen it recently for sale on Amazon in the US.
I love watching your videos; I learn something new every time!
Evelyn
Thank you, Evelyn! I'm glad you are enjoying my videos and thank you for watching!
I love seeing your process in slower-motion (although I totally understand the need for the sped up versions, too). Looking forward to watching the next installments and then the "final" video. Thank you for posting!
Thank you, Jennifer! It's definitely more work to make the separate videos, but I understand that some people want to see the process slower so they can follow along. I won't be doing all my 6×6 videos this way though.
