Last year Carta Bella released their Flora No. 1 paper collection. It had such lovely floral designs. So when I saw Carta Bella was releasing Flora No. 2 this year, I couldn’t resist buying it. If you missed my 6×6 video using the Flora No. 1 collection, you can see it HERE.
The Flora No. 2 collection is a very feminine collection full of cheerful flowers and uplifting sentiments. I decided to use many of the image/sentiment cut aparts this time. There are a lot of busy floral designs, so most of the sketches I chose feature only 2 design papers. Otherwise, the patterns would be competing with one another too much. Including cardstock layers also helps add contrast when working with such busy designs. And anyone who has been following me, knows I love using layers on my cards. ?
I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial and one paper pad to make 30 cards.

In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 14 sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ and 3 sheets of 12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.
Here are the pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Kristie! This was well worth the wait for you to do this paper pad. I love it. As always I picked up a new thing to do, loved how you only corner punched the two bottom corners.. nice look. I also liked how you matted your tags and in some cases double matted. My favorites were OWH 122, MFTWS367, and Freshly made sketches 253.
I am going to buy this paper pad and also the Spring Market by Carta Bella.

I'm curious about your solid card stock process. Your plain/matting card stock matches the colors really well. Are you picking them out when you buy the 6×6 pad? Or going on line and buying them from a vendor who sells single sheets? Thank you for sharing any info on this.
Hello, Jan! I own a lot of cardstock. A lot! So I always look through my own cardstock stash first. If I don't have coordinating colors, I take the 6×6 paper pad to the craft store so I can find a close match. Most of my local craft stores have closed, so I usually go to Joanns. Other than black, I buy individual sheets and I never order cardstock online.
Fabulous results, as always, Kristie. You never cease to amaze me. The first picture I always look for is what scraps you have left over. Then I hyperventilate for a few minutes and then go back to look at the cards and the video. ☺
