Happy 4th of July to everyone! It’s a super fun weekend over at the OWH Stars & Stamps blog because there is a Virtual Card Making Party going on. New challenges are getting posted every couple of hours. I’m not sure how many of them I’ll get to participate in, but I’m going to try to do as many as possible.
The first one, by Sybrina, is to use an OWH sketch and make a masculine and feminine version card. I used sketch #230.
sketch – OWH #230
paper – Doodlebug – day to day
stamps – Paper Smooches and Hero Arts
circle die cuts – Spellbinders
embossing folders – Cuttlebug, Sizzix, and Darice
Pearl pen – Viva Decor
Versafine ink
The 2nd challenge is by Michelle. Her challenge is to make a thank you card. She has a bonus points if you use spray inks, but I don’t have any, so I stuck with doing a thank you card.
sketch – MFT sketch #180
paper – Lawn Fawn – Let’s Polka
stamp – The Stamps of Life
Pearl pen – Viva Decor
Versafine ink
I’m onto the 3rd challenge for today. Kelly’s challenge is paper piecing For Kids. Since I love paper piecing, this was an easy challenge for me.
sketch – OWH sketch #1
paper – Doodlebug – day to day
stamps – Hero Arts
die cuts – Reverse Confetti
ribbon – May Arts
twine – Divine Twine
Memento ink
Now, onto the 4th challenge. Lori has challenged us to make a red, white, and blue birthday card.
sketch – card idea from Jen del Muro (sorry, I can’t find the original post)
paper – scraps
stamps – Hero Arts
embossing folders – Lifestyle Crafts, Cuttlebug, and Quickutz
star die cuts – Lil Inker Designs
Memento ink
Beth has the 5th challenge. It is to use paper, inks, or paints to make a colorful background. I used some of the scraps from the Doodlebug 6×6 paper pad.
paper – Doodlebug – day to day
stamp – Jillibean Soup
circle die cuts – Spellbinders
twine – Doodlebug
Versafine ink
The final challenge for the Friday VCMP is by JoAnn. She has challenged us to make 2 winter cards, one in Christmas colors and one that can be used any time in the winter season.
sketch – OWH sketch #217
paper – Authentique and Carta Bella
stamps – Verve and Paper Smooches
Versafine ink
