Whimsy Stamps Sugar Skulls – 37 cards from one 6×6 paper pad
Hello friends! I’m so excited to be participating in Whimsy Stamps Annual 31 Nights of Halloween Celebration. There are lots of fun prizes, projects and tons of inspiration, so be sure to check out Whimsy Stamps blog.
Now even though this is a Halloween event, I didn’t make a single Halloween card. Instead I focused on Dia de Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebration. I used Whimsy Stamps festive Sugar Skulls 6×6 paper pad and coordinating stamps for my cards. I even managed to make a few general and thank you cards with the floral papers from the collection.
Because it takes many hours to turn a paper pad into cards, this video has been sped up 6 times. The real time recording was just over 5 1/2 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.
Here is the cardstock I first pulled before starting on the cards. I always pull out way more cardstock than I ever use. I list the brands and colors if I have the information. Some of my cardstock has been in my craft room for many, many years.
In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 10 sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ and 12 sheets of 12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.
Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. For sketches that don’t include measurements, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. Most of my cards are A2 size. I did make a couple slimline cards this time, just for fun. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Whimsy Stamps Sugar Skulls 6×6 paper pad.

Great job on this set of cards, Kristie. It’s colorful and vibrant and I like how you were able to get some general sentiment cards from it as well. Thanks for sharing.
Oh my! What a great release from Whimsey stamps! I really like the stamps and dies! You did a great job with this busy paper pad. My favorites were the ones made with the Wonky Window die and the slimline dies! Definitely doing to check this out, but I think my craft budget is empty. So sad.
Thanks, Jennifer! Whimsy Stamps really has a lot of fun products. Their dies are my favorite. Perfect for helping finish off a paper pad. Hopefully you’ll be able to get some of the fun dies soon. It’s hard when all the companies keep releasing so many fun products. 🙂

Thank you, Jeanne! I really enjoyed the colorful paper collection. Even if it’s not a holiday I celebrate. 🙂
These are all so awesome Kristie! Thank you so much for being a special guest for our 31 Nights of Halloween event.
Thank you so much, Denise. I was honored for opportunity to guest design for Whimsy Stamps again. 🙂
Love the slimline card die. Already ordered through your link, hope it worked.
Thank you for your kindness and for using my link. I appreciate the support. Have a lovely day! 🙂
