Hello friends! It’s July, that means time for a Christmas in July video. I generally don’t start working on the majority of my Christmas cards until fall, but’s it’s always fun to get a little jump ahead. Especially since I need around 300 Christmas cards every year. (I donate a lot of them.)
I used a new 6×6 from Tonic Studios called Merry & Bright. This is the first time I’ve used any of their paper collections. It includes 24 sheets of double sided pattern paper in 8 different designs. Most of the designs are very muted, with only 2 patterns on the busier side. This would be a great collection to add some fun colored images or ephemera. But I decided to stick with mostly sentiment stamps.
I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial and one paper pad to make 34 cards.

Because it takes many hours to turn a 6×6 paper pad into cards, this video has been sped up 7 times. The real time recording was just over 5 1/2 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.
In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 14 sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ and 4 sheets of 12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.
Cardstock colors –
Awesome Aqua – DoubleMates
Berry – Coredinations

Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. For sketches that don’t include measurements, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Tonic Studios Merry & Bright 6×6 paper pad.

Thanks for visiting my blog today.
I appreciate your kindness and support!
These are wonderful, Kristie. Oh yes! The quilt die made an appearance. 🙂 I think that is my favorite from this set. I see the new to me sketches, too. Looks like a great paper pad for Christmas cardmaking! Thanks for sharing.
love love love. I also like the new sketches you used.
Thanks, Jeanne! It was time to dust off the quilt die. I can't even remember the last time I used it. Lol!
Thanks, Sherry! I figured it was time to find some more sketches to try. 🙂
Do you ever accept paper from your readers? I have a paper collection I'd love to see what cards you could make out of it. You are much more creative than I am and would love to be able to recreate the cards to give away from where I live.
I really like this paper pad and how you used it along with the specialty papers!! Love the new sketches–I am going to try them all out! my favorites are SSun 274, Sketch Sat 322 (with the angled sentiment!), Sk. Sat 349 (that was a surprise hit with me) and MFT 445–I like how the special red paper added texture. Thank you for getting me ready for Christmas!!
Hello! I appreciate the generous offer. However, I already have more paper pads than I'll ever be able to use. Yet, I keep buying more. Lol! What's the paper collection you are curious about? Maybe I already own it.
Thanks, Jennifer! I'm a bit obsessed with specialty papers lately. So you will see me include them whenever I can. Lol!
Sketch Saturday 349 was fun to use. I'm not generally a fan of the that style, but knew it would be perfect with the paper and sentiment.
Good morning! The paper collection I'm interested in is "The Little Princess" from Simple Stories. Their paper is just wonderful! I have more of their paper than I care to admit…heeheehee! Thanks for replying. Your cards are simp!y amazing!
I don't have that collection. I'll check it out though. And you aren't alone. I think most paper crafters have a paper obsession. Lol!
Hi there. I make similar cards to these (yours are beautiful). Would you mind if I add the large snowflake die cuts to my cards I sell at my craft fair?
