Sunny Studio | Colorful Autumn using Jaded Blossom Card Layer dies
Hello friends! I love using Jaded Blossom’s Card Layer dies! They were designed to work with 6×6 paper. They cut out several different die cut pieces that can be used to create tons of card designs. I used their original Card Layer dies in a previous video. Check it out HERE.
I also have a Pinterest board with other card designs using the Card Layer dies.
This time, I used all four dies as I turned a 6×6 paper pad into a set of cards. There are basically no leftover scraps when using the Card Layer dies.
I decided to use Sunny Studio’s Colorful Autumn paper collection for my cards. I love all the fun jewel tones and fall patterns. The collection also has the perfect mix of busy and muted designs.
I did use quite a bit of solid colored cardstock this time. The kraft color worked nicely for the backgrounds and I layered most of the cards on dark brown cardstock.
I made a total of 45 autumn cards.
Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.
Here is the cardstock I pulled before starting on the 6×6 paper pad. I always pull out way more cardstock than I ever use. I list the brands and colors if I have the information. Some of my cardstock has been in my craft room for many, many years.
In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 17 sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ and 15 sheets of 12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.
Here are close up pictures of the cards I made. All my cards are A2 size. I used Sunny Studio’s Colorful Autumn 6×6 paper pad and Jaded Blossom’s Card Layer dies.

Your die machine got a real workout with this set of cards, but it was definitely worth it. They look great. The pattern papers look great! Fun way to use a 6×6 paper pad. Thanks for sharing, Kristie!
I’m impressed with your videos, esp the 6 x6 card videos, and the level of detail you provide. I have lots of 6x 6 pads and have been challenging myself to use as many as I can, using your videos for inspiration. The work and time you put into these videos is amazing. I purchased a Spellbinders kit a few months ago after watching your video using that kit.
Aw, thank you so much Julie! I love making my 6×6 videos. Even if they are a lot of work. Lol! When I finish off a paper pad, I don’t have to figure out how to store the scraps. Spellbinders kit are so fun. I’m enjoying being on their team. (You can expect to see me using their kits again in 2022.) 😉
Gorgeous, vivid papers! 40 cards from one 6×6 pad? That might be a new record. 🙂 I know that’s not the point of you 6 x 6 tutorials, but it is fun to see how many you make. Those dies are pretty cool, but I really like the barrel, apples, sunflowers and the banner dies, and the Harvest sentiments. If I win the lottery, maybe I can get these fun things. Too bad I don’t actually play the lottery. lol TFS how you made all these cards. It’s very impressive and must have taken quite a bit of planning.
Aw, thanks Jennifer! Sunny Studio has some really fun paper collections. You may be seeing more in the future. 😉 I honestly don’t the record number of cards I’ve made from one 6×6 paper pad. I don’t keep track. Lol! This video took a long time to figure out everything before I even started cutting out the pieces. Hopefully it helps make the process faster for everyone else though. They can just copy my card designs and quickly assemble their cards.
I knew this one was more complicated than the others. I guess your planning, prep and die cutting time for this batch was a bit longer than usual. I am very impressed with how everything worked out! I know you don’t keep track, but…you broke this record by making 41 from you next 6 x 6 tutorial. lol! 🙂 Thanks for all your efforts to entertain us out here in cyber land!
I think I may have hit 50ish cards before with one paper pad. I’m not positive though. Definitely more cards if the paper pad has more than 24 sheets. Now if Jaded Blossom decides to make more Card Layer dies, I’ll have to do another video. 😊
I believe you have hit 50 or close to it. Now that I have put off my workout — it’s way more fun to chat with you–I must get to whatever horrible punishment my trainer has decided I need for the day. 🙂 Have a wonderful weekend! Looking forward to seeing the Jaded Blossom release tomorrow! TY

Oh my goodness, there was a lot of die cutting happening for this set of cards. Lol! It was worth it though. I had fun creating this set of cards. 😊
Your consistent precision amazes me Kristie! All the cards are beautiful! And I learn something every time I watch you. Thank you for sharing! ❤️
Aw, thank you so much Iris! 😊
