Hello friends! Spellbinders recently released several new wax bead colors along with some pretty bead mixes. I selected 3 different mixes to use.
I love making wax seals. I find it very relaxing adding wax beads to the warming spoon and watching them slowly melt.
It’s also fun to make a bunch of wax seals at one time since I can adhere them later with the adhesive circle stickers that are designed specifically for wax seals. Of course, you can also pour the hot wax directly onto a project or back of an envelope.
I made 3 cards using the new wax bead mixes from Spellbinders.
I used some tone on tone gingham patterned paper from Honey Bee Stamps for the backgrounds. (The paper pads have been retired.)
All of the dies, stamps, and hot foil plates are Spellbinders products from earlier releases. I think the images worked well with the pretty wax seals.

Looks like you are having a lot of fun with wax seals. Pretty cards!
I had so much fun making all the wax seals. I find it very relaxing. 😊
The color combinations are amazing! I love the gold with those colors. Gorgeous cards, and I agree about Magenta sunflowers. Spellbinders always has so many interesting dies. TFS!
It’s great how things come full circle sometimes. When I was younger (we’re talking 60 yrs ago), long before email was a thing, the “big thing” was to seal letters with a sealing wax seal Back then, sealing wax was sold as a sort of flat “candle” stick (about 4″ long) in lots of different colors with a wick. You’d light the wick, drip the wax onto your envelope, then use a shaped brass seal to flatten it. I had several seals — my initial L, a fleur de lis, and a rose. So it’s great to see sealing wax becoming popular again, and in so many gorgeous colors!
And I have to add that your videos have inspired me to get back into card-making. I had given it up several years ago when I had to move into an assisted living arrangement. I ended up selling my house and the estate sale included my 15+ years accumulation of card-making supplies. I’m gradually building up a small stash and have started putting together some cards using your techniques as inspiration. So thanks — and keep up the great work!
