Hello friends! Jaded Blossom’s amazing October release is TOMORROW! I have a new video to share, but I thought it would be fun to make some extra cards as a little sneak peek. This is something just for my amazing blog subscribers.💗 The new release is all about Autumn and I just love making fall cards. 🍂
If you want everything in the new release, you can purchase it now at a discounted price.
My favorite item from the new release is the Fancy Leaves die set. The detail is amazing and I love the larger size of the leaves. I used some Distress Oxide ink to add a bit of color to the background and also splattered some watercolor paints. I cut the leaves out of pretty pattern paper by Paper Rose. I layered the card panel on some pearlescent cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment on the same cardstock. To finish off the card I added some wooden bling that I also inked and watercolor paint splattered.

For my second card, I did the same technique for the background this time on some ivory shimmer cardstock and with different paint colors for the splatter. The leaves are cut out from the same Paper Rose pattern paper. I stamped the sentiment on the shimmer cardstock and added clear embossing powder to prevent the ink from smearing. I finished off the card with a couple Love From Lizi Peel Off heart stickers, a twine bow, and some gold bling.

My final card is a Halloween card. I used the Pumpkin Picking stamp set for the image and sentiment. I love the fun pile of pumpkins. There is a second stamp to add the cute Jack-o-Lantern faces to the pumpkins. So fun! The pattern paper is from Catherine Pooler’s Treats Only collection. I finished off the card by adding a couple banners to the corner and some sparkly bling.

What a nice treat–you made my day! What stunning fall cards–you chose the perfect papers for those leaves!! The Halloween card is a cute as could be with the funny pumpkin faces and cute paper (which I immediately put on my wish list. I know–my wish list is a bit out of control!) TFS! Happy fall!
Aw, you are so sweet! 💗 I have more cards to share tomorrow and a video. I was just playing around and decided to make some extra cards. Sometimes it’s nice to take a little break from making videos. My problem is I buy the papers, then I run out of time to use them.
Sometimes you just need to craft for yourself! But I get it–you can always use any crafting as a video or post! Seeing as how I have over 50 6×6 pads–some dating back to 2013–I understand a bit about running out of time to use all the paper I have bought. If I had to do videos, I would probably only finish 2 pads per year! I don’t know how you manage to get some much done, especially when you have kiddos! See, you’re a Card-making Rock Star!
Kristie, these cards are all gorgeous! I love the leaf cards with the splattered background, and I always love your card sketch cards. I was just re-watching one of your older videos this morning – an Echo Park Coffee Pad from a few years ago, I think. I love your background music in that one and you were using lots of stamps… more of an “old school” 6×6 video… LOL!! Those are my favorites, even though I enjoy them all!
Thank you so much! I had fun making all of the cards. Sometimes it’s just nice to make cards and not record the process. 😊 I will be sharing a new Echo Park 6×6 video very soon. More of my “old school” style. Although I didn’t use many stamp sets and instead focused on the sentiment cut aparts included in the paper collection.
Beautiful leaf cards, Kristie! So glad you had some time to just play. The pumpkin pile is fun, too. Always fun to see what you are up to! Keep looking for pockets of time to do what you really want to do, as well. Crafty Hugs!

Thanks, Jeanne! I really need to make sure to just play more often. I do enjoy making videos, but it’s a lot of work. Lol!
