“Let’s “Perk Up and Start the New Year” with our January Flavor of the Month kit. I have a little story to tell…I never drank coffee until I retired about 6 years ago from teaching school…cause who wants a cold cup of what is supposed to be hot coffee? So now…with my wonderful flavored creamer I enjoy a cup of coffee every morning and especially love drinking my coffee while watching crafty videos on YouTube…so sit back and take a look at our Coffee themed FOTM blog hop this month. If you have not already snagged your kit please head over to the Flavor of the Month page and scroll down to choose the level of kit you would like! Make sure you head to the website to check out the rafflecopter as well to enter to win a prize!” – Teresa at Scrapping for Less
I am guest designing for Scrapping for Less using the January Flavor of the Month Card Kit. The theme is Perk Up and Start the New Year. There are 4 different mini collections. Each contains 6 papers, a stamp set, and a variety of embellishments and stickers. I love how well everything coordinates together. The stamps can easily be used with any of the mini collections.
I post a lot of 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorials and many people feel quite overwhelmed with the idea of using an entire 6×6 paper pad for card making. Trying out a monthly kit, could definitely make things easier. You could start by using just one of the mini collections since it only has 6 sheets of paper. And it’s perfect since the stamps and embellishments have already been coordinated for you. Leaving you with more time to simply create.
I made a total of 10 cards using the January kit. I still have plenty of leftovers to make many more cards. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.
Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. For all sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using the Scrapping for Less January Flavor of the Month card kit.

Kristie, you have me hooked. I ordered the same kit but it did not include any card sketches. Is that the norm? I have your video one and making sure I follow your directions… learning. Thank you for taking the time to make these videos. I appreciate your time and efforts! Nan
Hi Nancy! Thank you for your kind words. It's a very fun kit. I hope you enjoy using it as much as I did. 🙂
