Hello friends! I used the Pretty Presents shaker kit from Queen & Company to make cards. This is an older kit, but it has been out of stock. It was recently restocked and is the perfect kit for making birthday or other celebration cards.

The paper pad, as well as the foam/acetate refills are also available to purchase individually. I already picked up both since my 9-year old daughter, Penny really wanted to use the kit. I just made her wait until I finished making my cards so she could use the stamp set and dies. She even makes a little guest appearance at the end of my video.

*UPDATE – Penny’s video content has been removed for COPPA compliance.

I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial to make 31 cards.

Because it takes many hours to use up a 6×6 paper pad, this video has been sped up 7 times. The real time recording was just over 5 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.

In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also 18 sheets of  12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.

Cardstock colors –

Pearlescent turquoise – Darice

Aegean – Darcice

Orange – Coredinations

Tulip – Coredinations

Meadow – Coredinations

Candy Hearts – Bazzill

Light pink – unknown

Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home and some Mojo Monday sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Queen & Co. Pretty Presents kit.

  • Another winner, Kristie! Such bright and cheerful cards celebrating birthdays. Love the colors and the shaker bits that look like sprinkles! One can't help but smile. 🙂

  • I love how simple you make it look! I've been struggling the past year to be inspired with what I have and now I'm able to use what I have! Thank you so much for your insight and inspiration!
    Blessings to you!

  • Kristie… I just had to share this with you. I love, love your videos and learning new layouts. Sometimes the measuring is difficult like 5/8 of inch or 3/4 inch etc. I got this GREAT ruler on Amazon that has all the inch measurements printed on the ruler, 1/16,1/8,3/8,etc. It so cool. Thank you for all you do. Your hard dedicated work is greatly appreciated.

  • Thank you, Jeanne! I really enjoyed making all the little present shaker cards. I know it'll be the perfect kit for all kinds of celebration cards. 🙂

  • Thank you for your kind words. I'm so glad you found the perfect tool to help out with the sketch measurements. It really does make a difference. 🙂
