Hello friends! I used the Fruit Basket kit from Queen & Company to make cards. This is an older kit, but it has been out of stock. I’ve been wanting it for quite awhile and was so excited to see it back in stock.
The kit includes fruit themed dies, 6×6 paper pad, a fun sentiment stamp set, coordinating foam and acetate pieces, twine, droplet stickers, epoxy dot stickers, and exclusive fruit toppings. I love the rainbow of colors included in this cheerful kit.
The paper pad, as well as the foam/acetate refills are also available to purchase individually. I like to pick up some refills so I can continue using the fun kits.
I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial to make 28 cards.
Because it takes many hours to use up a 6×6 paper pad, this video has been sped up 7 times. The real time recording was just over 5 1/2 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.
In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 6 sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ and 14 sheets of 12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.
Cardstock colors –
Black – Recollections
Fuchsia Fizz – Coredinations
Cherry Splash – Bazzill
Yellow – Coredinations
Carrot Cake – Bazzill
Meadow – Coredinations
Seafoam – Darice
Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home and some Mojo Monday sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Queen & Co. Fruit Basket kit.

Thanks for letting me know, Barb. I think it's good now. 🙂
This is a fabulous collection of cards, Kristie. I really like all the bright colors and the fantastic sentiments. Each card made me smile. The toppings are really fun, too. It's sometimes hard to see what they will look like in a photo. Your still pictures really show the card to its advantage. Thank you so much for sharing! 🙂
What a fun collection of paper and dies–and toppings!! No wonder you have been waiting for it to come back into stock. I can almost taste the pink grapefruit (one of my favorites.) You were very clever to use the strawberry as a pear and to make the cherries! I think the cherries and the pink grapefruit were my favorites although I also liked the pear paper paired with that teal/blue and the watermelon with the rainbow paper and the gems as seeds. Well, they are all very fun! Thank you for another fun and inspiring video!
Thank you, Jeanne! I really enjoyed this card kit. The fruit toppings are so fun and cheerful. I'm glad my photos are helpful. Sometimes it's hard to capture the true colors and details. 🙂
Thank you! I really was super happy when I saw the kit had been restocked. I didn't waste any time to put together all the darling fruit cards. I can't take credit for making the strawberry card with the pear die though. It's actually shown on the sample sheet. But the cherries were my idea. The one pattern paper has cherries, so I just had to figure out a way to make my own. 🙂
Oh my goodness. You always make the most delightful cards! Those fruit shakers are just the sweetest thing ever! So glad you could join me for Mojo Monday, Kristie!
Thank you, Julee! I always have so much fun using up 6×6 paper pads and card kits. 🙂
Kristie,
Which set from MFT is the banner from on the first watermelon card? I have a bunch from them, but not that one. I love all the cards. You are so creative! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! I appreciate your kindness. This kit was so much fun! The banner die cut is from MFT's Stitched Sentiment Strips set. I trimmed the banner shorter for my card. (So you may actually have the set.) 🙂
