I was recently asked by Wendy Carmichael from Queen & Co. to use my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial with one of their specialty card kits. I was really excited and very honored to be asked. They make some super fun kits. Each kit is full of just about everything needed to make quite a few cards. (Paper pad, stamp set, steel dies, shaker components, and embellishements.)

Many of their kits include unique shaker card components. I’ve only made a few shaker cards in the past. And while I really enjoy the finished product, they can be a lot of work to create. The Queen & Co. kits make it super easy. They include pre-cut foam and acetate pieces that perfectly match the dies. There are even step by step instructions included. Now I want to get more of their shaker card kits.

I used the Love Jar kit which includes a full 24-sheet 6×6 paper pad called Flirty Florals. There are 12 different designs in the collection. I really love the mix of tone on tone and busier patterns. All of the designs coordinate perfectly, making it so easy to create lovely cards.

I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial and one paper pad to make 40 cards.

I did a bit more stamping this time using the lovely floral stamps, so the video is a longer than normal. The real time recording was just under 7 hours not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.

The kits do not include cardstock. But I since I love using layers, I did add in several coordinating colors.

Cardstock colors –

Coral pink – Recollections

Grassroots – Coredinations

Yellow – Stampin Up

Dark Fairy Tale pink – Colormates

Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Queen & Co. Love Jar kit.

  • How neat is this! Those flowers as shaker bits are so fun. The papers in the pad are lovely and you've used them and the shaker components to make beautiful cards that have a light and airy feel to them. Perfect for this time of year, too. Thanks so much for sharing and congratulations on being asked to use these fun products. What a great feeling that must be! You did an excellent job. And bonus for us as we get a new video to savor! 🙂 Have a happy day.

  • AWESOME!!
    And congratulations!
As Jeanne said, "lucky us", you have turned out another great set of cards. What a nice kit, I am glad that you are getting the chance to try different paper lines, and I hope this trend continues.
Selfishly, I look forward to each new video.
Hope the rest of your week is wonderful.

  • Thank you, Jeanne! I really appreciate all the kindness and support. I have the sweetest crafty friends. 🙂 This kit was so fun to use. I just loved making the shaker cards, especially with Queen & Co.'s perfect shaker components provided in their kits. I was honored to be asked to use their products in my video.

  • Thank you! It has been an amazing last couple of months getting asked to make videos for so many fun companies. I have been truly honored. I hope the trend continues as well. 🙂
I hope you have a beautiful day!

  • Thank you for your kind words and for using my link. I really appreciate it. The Queen & Co kit was so fun and I plan on using more in future videos. 🙂

  • Wow! Congratulations! What an honor! You did a great job using so many pieces of this great (reasonably priced!) kit, and you had the perfect ink to go with the papers. I can't believe how many variations you can make with those stamps. I LOVE the large flower "bIing" and how you put the smaller flowers and/or gems in the center. It seems like you have plenty of extras if you want to get the "refills", too! I always learn something from your videos – this time it was the two-toned flowers. Very pretty! Thank you!

  • Thank you, Jennifer! I was so excited when Queen & Co contacted me about using one of their kits. And I loved the kit. I definitely want to use more of their stuff. I wasn't sure about only using one stamp set for the entire 6×6 paper pad. But there are so many stamps included, it was easy to use them different ways. 🙂
