Hello friends! As you may have noticed, I’m bouncing around between holidays and seasons right now. There are just so many paper collections and kits I want to use and so little time. With Halloween just over a month away, it was time to make some Halloween cards. I used Queen & Company’s brand new Hocus Pocus kit. It’s a full kit that includes a 6×6 paper pad, foam/acetate pieces, dies, a sentiment stamp set, and exclusive shaker toppings. There are enough foam pieces to make 21 cards. And if that’s not enough, you can also purchase refills. Or, the dies work perfectly for non-shaker cards. There are lots of options.
I always enjoy the sentiment stamp sets included in Queen & Company kits. The sayings are perfect with fun fonts. If you are like me and don’t color images very often, Queen & Company kits are a great choice.
Go HERE to see my unboxing video showing everything that is included in the kit.
I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial to make 29 cards.
Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.
In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 15 sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ and 7 sheets of 12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.
Cardstock colors –
Black – Recollections
Orange – Coredinations
Yellow – Coredinations
Date Swirl – Bazzill
Caramel Apple – Bazzill
Lime Crush – Bazzill
Purple Majesty – Coredinations
Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home and some Mojo Monday sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Queen & Co. Hocus Pocus kit.

What a fun set of cards, Kristie! You did a great job helping to celebrate Halloween!
these are great! Do you always pick out 3-6 sketches and then as youre creating mat the pattern paper on solid so there are lots of layers to your original card front? I hope that makes sense. You are very talented and i love your vidoes…
Also is pinterest the place to find the OWH sketches?
Another adorable kit from Queen & Co. The witch hats made from the fun foam is super, and MFT 448 with the potion bottles are my favorites, but I really like them all. I also got a kick of the eyeballs in the "spooky" die cut. TFS!!
Thanks, Jeanne! This is a really fun Halloween kit. I was a bit sad when it was all gone. Good thing I have refills. Lol!
Thank you! I'm not sure I understand your question. I usually choose sketches as I go since I don't plan out my video. I love lots of cardstock layers, so you will always see me using quite a bit. I pretty much layer every piece. Lol!
Since OWH is no longer open, their website is also down. I pinned all of the sketches on a Pinterest board so I can still use them. You can also find them on Sandy Allnock's website. She is the owner of the OWH sketches and has a downloadable version on her blog.
Thank you! I really like this Halloween kit. I just recently posted a video with their kit from last year and I own the kit from 2017 as well. (I just haven't had time to use it yet.) But the Hocus Pocus kit is my favorite out of the three. The sentiments are so fun! 🙂
