Hello friends! Since I recently used Queen & Company’s Mother’s Day kit, I just HAD to use their new Father’s Day shaped shaker kit. Even though it is father themed, it still works great for other themes. There are 4 steel dies, a sentiment stamp set, and enough foam/acetate pieces for 12 shaker cards. Of course, the dies work perfectly as non-shakers.
The Shaped Shaker kits do not include paper pads or shaker toppings. Queen & Company sells a large variety of both on their website. That way you can customize the kit with the colors and designs you want. I used several different paper collections for my cards.
I used the Father’s Day Shaped Shaker kit to make 10 cards.

Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.
Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements.

Super cute! I love your color combinations! I especially like the straight tie cards but my favorites this time were the Super DAD ones. The starburst was a perfect touch and that All Bundled Up paper is so great. I am also in love with those blue bubbles! And they match your nails perfectly. Thank you for sharing!!
I guess they are blue pearls maybe? Not sure
Thanks for sharing these cards, Kristie. Guy cards are typically among the hardest for us crafters to create. You've taken this kit and made some really terrific cards to inspire. Thank you so much! Lots of different toppings and products used! Wow!
Thank you, Jennifer! It's so nice that Queen & Co made a kit perfect for masculine cards. And they have several paper collections that work well for guy cards. It was hard to choose a nail color this time since I knew I'd be using several paper collections. But I love the blue polish and it matches the blue pearls very nicely. 🙂
I'm so glad Queen & Co designed a kit perfect for making masculine cards. It's so hard to even find paper collections that aren't super feminine. I couldn't believe how many different products I used for my 10 cards. I guess I got a bit carried away with all the wonderful Queen & Co. bling. Lol!
Hi Kristie,
I just love your YouTube videos. You are so talented and creative. I have a question. When watching your video on the new Doodlebug Simply Spring paper pack, I noticed you used a tool to cut peel offs. That tool looks very useful but I can’t seem to find it anywhere. Can you share where this can be purchased. Please email me at skleszynski[at]gmail.com. Thanks again.
Thank you, Sharon. I appreciate your kindness.
I just used an exacto knife. It's Fiskar's Finger Loop detail knife. I'm not sure where I bought it. I just checked and it is available on Amazon. It may even be available at local craft stores.
