One of my favorite dies in the new release is the Star Cover Plate. It’s perfect for so many occasions including Independence Day cards. I also used the new Half Stars stencil set to create the background. I tried one card with darker stars on the background and one with lighter stars. I really like both designs.
To complete the sentiment, I used Pretty Pink Posh’s 4th of July stamp and die set for the word America and also the small fireworks. I rarely ever color, but I did pull out my Copic markers to color the firework images.

For my second card, I followed basically the same design but I made the stencils stars darker and changed some of the die cut colors. I also left off the fireworks since they got a bit lost on the darker background. Instead of silver mirror cardstock for the stars, I used white shimmer cardstock.
