Hello friends! I made a couple more cards using Pretty Pink Posh’s new birthday release. They are celebrating their 9th birthday with a fun release and amazing sale. It’s been so fun guest designing for them again this month.

For my first card, I used the new Fancy Cake die set. It’s such a fun set for birthday cards. Or you could trim off the candles and use the cake for wedding, baby, graduation or other occasions. I love having sets that can be used year round.
For the background of the card, I used the Layered Party Hats stencil set. I added a piece of vellum over the stenciled background so the Fancy Cake image would really stand out.

For my second card, I used the new Birthday Sentiments stamp and die set. There’s a fun shaped tag included on the set and I thought it would work for a shaker. I stamped some stars on the background and filled the shaker with the Birthday Cake Mix. I stamped a sentiment on the outside of the shaker and added a cute little slice of cake. The cake image is from the Birthday Mug Additions die set.
For the background of the card, I used the Stacked Edges set 2 and cut out 3 pieces in colors that matched the shaker mix. I finished off the card by adding some pink and white twine from my stash.

Both of these are great! The stencils make a great background and who wouldn’t want a piece of a purple and pink cake? Card 2 is clever and fun! Great bright colors! TFS!
Terrific cards, Kristie. I like the idea of putting the vellum on the background to mute the design to make the focal piece the star. And the shaker card is just plain fun! Thanks so much for sharing. Crafty hugs!
