Hello friends! I was so excited when Michelle from Pink & Main asked me to do one of my 6×6 videos using one of their paper collections. I decided to use their Sunset collection which is one of their newer 6×6 releases. I just love the mix of polka dot and plaid designs and the beautiful blues, greens and purples.

Pink & Main was so kind to provide me with a variety of products. I really enjoyed turning the paper pad into a fun set of cards. Since I will be donating most of the cards, I used a lot of uplifting sentiments. I was also free to use a little extra dimension since the cards will be hand delivered. I will also include a hand written message inside each card and drop them off at a local retirement home.

I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial and one paper pad to make 35 cards.

Because it takes many hours to use up a 6×6 paper pad, this video has been sped up 7 times. The real time recording was just under 5 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.

In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 2 sheets of  8 1/2″ x 11″ and 17 sheets of  12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.

Cardstock colors –

Black – Recollections

Boysenberry – Darice

Grassroots – Coredinations

Light Blue – unknown

Blue – Recollections

Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Pink & Main’s Sunset 6×6 paper pad.

  • The cards you made with the die are my favorites, but I love the last three cards showing how you can use those last bits and get creative.

  • Love the colours !!
Another cute set of cards. I have to admit that I very seldom consider these paper pads, but I love what you have created with them. They are definitely more versatile than I thought.
Your videos are so inspiring, thank you.

  • Look at the lovely colors and fun sketches you used to make these beautiful cards. The butterflies are SO pretty and the turtles are fun. You did an outstanding job on this set, Kristie. I'm so happy for you to be having so much success with your tutorials. That's awesome. 🙂 Looking forward to watching this one. They are so inspiring and relaxing at the same time.

  • Thank you, Janet! I just love the Sunny Cover die. I never want to waste any of the lovely pattern papers, so it's always fun looking for ways to use those small scraps.

  • It was a fun paper collection to use. I love all the polka dots and plaid designs. Mojo Monday 421 is a great sketch and I'll probably be using it again.

  • Thank you, Beverly! I just love this paper collection. I also have the Sunrise 6×6 and will eventually be doing a video using it as well.

  • Thank you, NannaT! I'm used to paper pads with more images, rather than just polka dots and plaids. But I really love the versatility and being able to use any sentiments or images. 🙂

  • My fav is the cards made with the Sunny cover die. OWH #154 comes in second, then OWH #229. Love then all. Thank you for being so inspiring!

  • Thank you, Jeanne! I had so much fun using all the pretty butterflies and turtles. (The turtles are my favorite!) It's a lovely paper collection. I also have the Sunrise paper pad and will eventually be making a video using it. 🙂

  • i found you on YouTube several months ago and eagerly anticipate your new videos. I’ve even gone back and watched them all! I truly love your process and I’ve even recreated one of your card sketches you used for a swap. I love those turtles you used in this series.

  • Thank you! I appreciate your kindness. Wow! You've been busy if you've watched all of my 6×6 videos. Lol! But I'm so happy I can provide some inspiration for your own card making. 🙂

  • Kristie one quick question – on the card with the You Can Fly Butterfly and Die how did you stamp the saying in the butterfly on the blue paper?

  • Hello. The words are actually part of the butterfly stamp. It's from a set called Inspire. I stamped it with blue ink on white paper and used the coordinating die to cut it out. It's a lovely stamp set.

  • my favorite card is actually the ones you used the die with. I just love watching your videos. you give me the inspiration to pull out all my 6×6 paper pads and go to town 🙂 I do like the papers you used in this video – the colors are amazing. Thank you for sharing all you do.

  • Thank you, Janet! I appreciate your kindness. The Sunny Cover die is so fun to use. Yay for pulling out those 6×6 paper pads! Happy crafting to you! 🙂

  • I absolutely love your videos and the colors on these cards are so fun! I like that your videos note the amount of extra cardstock used. How do you store your extra cardstock scraps after mats and such? Thank you so much for the inspiration you give!

  • Thank you, Shelly! I have a rolling 10-drawer cart I purchased at either Michaels or Joanns where I store all my cardstock scraps in rainbow order. It works perfectly for easily finding the right colors. 🙂

  • I love all your cards, but I especially love the card with “Make today count.” I can’t find the sentiment stamp at Pink and Main (Believe Script). Is it retired?
