The final Operation Write Home sketch is #259. It’s hard to believe OWH’s closure is already next week. But it’s wonderful to know so many of our service members are now home safe with their families. I began donating cards to OWH in 2011. Since that time, the quality of my cards has improved drastically. I’ve met some amazing and talented crafty friends. I’ve started a blog. (Something I said I would never do. Lol!) I’ve written a tutorial and made 2 videos of that tutorial. I’ve been highlighted in a national magazine. (Woman’s Day July 2014) All of this is because of OWH. I want to give a big THANK YOU to Sandy Allnock and the OWH volunteers!
My cards for the final sketch were inspired by Sandy Allnock. I decided to use some watercolor paints and create my own background rather than use patterned paper. I really like how they turned out.

These turned out so great! I love them both but the blue one really catches my eye. Great job! Thank you for all the work you did for OWH. I loved your tutorials and refer back to them almost weekly! I appreciate the time and effort it put in to getting those done. Thank you!
Love the simplicity of your card. Die cuts really make crafting so easy!
