For this week’s Operation Write Home card sketch, I made a card that’s not my usual style. It’s not an exact match of the original sketch, but it was the inspiration for my card. I started by flipping the sketch on it’s side, then decided to build a scene using some fun die cuts and an embossing folder.
sketch – http://operationwritehome.org/sketch-challenge-180/
paper – Echo Park – Sweet Girl
die cuts – Lil Inker Designs
embossing folder – Stampin Up
stamp – Stampendous
twine – Doodlebug
Versafine ink
Thanks for visiting my blog today!
That's just as cute as can be (as my grandma used to say)! Great interpretation of the sketch…so fun and cheery!
Fabulous job! I love your scene and flipping the sketch on it's side! Great inspiration!
Love the flip … you truly made this sketch your own 🙂
WTG! I absolutely love this! I have that folder and have yet to use it…I will need to dig it out!
That blue treatment on the bottom is awesome. Love how you did it.
Thank you for flipping this sketch! I am just not getting it and when I flipped it, it's coming together for me! You're my inspiration today. Love those waves.
Great take on the sketch! Especially love the embossing and the twine!
Great interpretation of the sketch. Love how you turned it, and your great color combination!
Great card! It's sunny and cheerful and would be a joy to receive in the mail.

Very cute card. The clouds are my favorite (of course).
LOVE!!! It's so bright and cheerful and will really bring a happy ray of sunshine to some lucky recipient!
I love it, so crisp and clean! I love that you flipped it, and how you did the blue, and those suns are adorable. Thanks for playing!
Fabulous card! Love the scene you created and the cloud embossing folder. I was just thinking that besides viewing of my cards as cakes that need to be decorated, they can be dioramas too!
