While making a card for the OWH weekly card sketch, I decided to do some paper piecing with some adorable Lawn Fawn stamps. I really started struggling with this card, though. That’s what happens when I move out of my comfort zone. I think the card still turned out cute, but now I see how I should have placed items differently.

paper – My Mind’s Eye – Blink of an Eye
stamp – Lawn Fawn
sunshine die cuts – Lil’ Inker Designs
sentiment die cut – Savvydies.com
Versafine ink
I then felt the need to do another card, this time using a sentiment as the focal point. (Which is definitely more my style.)
stamp – Our Daily Bread Designs
butterfly punch – Stampin Up
border punch – EK Success
brads – from stash
Versafine ink
Thanks for visiting my blog today!
While both cards came out beautifully, the second one really catches my eye. I tend to make cards with a sentiment focus, too!!
Both cards are very nice. I don't see where you should move anything around on your first card. It looks great to me just the way it is. Love that papers and the touches of blue in your second card. Enjoy your week.
Wow both cards are great! The first card has some awesome die cuts I think I must get. So I am glad you did a little steppin out:)
Your raccoon card is one of my favorites. The colors are just great.
They are both pretty great! I wouldn't have guessed that you struggled with the first card at all!
Love them both, and everything is placed perfectly!
Way to stretch yourself! I do try to avoid pointing the eye off the card…but sometimes it just cannot be helped. I love how you grounded the raccoon on the first…super job! tfs!!!
The Raccoon card is adorable!
