Welcome to my stop on the final Memorial Day bloghop for Operation Write Home. OWH, a charity that has supported heroes with handmade cards since 2007, will be closing later this year. All cards need to be sent in by August 1st, so I’m helping get the word out. With more and more service  members coming home, the need for cards has decreased significantly. But OWH wants to Finish Strong for their final months, so keep making those cards to help them complete their mission.

The theme for the hop is to make a Red, White, and Blue card using an OWH sketch. I chose sketch #200 for my card and had fun with some watercolor paints.

sketch – OWH #200

paper – Doodlebug – Patriotic Parade

circle stamp – Lil Inker Designs

sentiment stamp – Reverse Confetti

watercolor paints – Kuretake

embossing powder – Recollections

embossing folder – Darice

ink – Versamark and Versafine

bling – from stash

Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

It is bittersweet seeing OWH come to an end. But what it means is awesome, it means that our soldiers will be home more with their family, it means my soldier son will be home instead of deployed every time I turn around, it means my grandchildren will have their daddy home and that is totally awesome!! Thanks for all you have done for our soldiers Kristie, you are awesome!!! Hugs, Brenda
