I have a new favorite background die. It’s made by My Favorite Things and it’s perfect for using the last scraps from a 6×6 paper pad. Although this card was actually the first card I made using an older My Mind’s Eye 6×6. I love that I can include 9 different paper designs and use the rectangular box for the sentiment. The squares are a little larger than an inch. And all the squares are the same size. That’ll be super helpful since not all background dies are that way. I made this birthday card for a crafty friend.

Collage cover-up die – MFT Die-namics

Paper – My Mind’s Eye – Cut & Paste collection

Sentiment stamp – MFT

Flower dies – MFT

Bling – from stash

Ink – Reverse Confetti

  • Love your cards. I don't have a die cutting machine and was wondering if these squares are about 1 1/4 ". I have a punch that would work if so. I need a masculine card for Fri. and have the perfect paper pad for it. Thanks. take care ~~rita

  • Thank you, Irene! This die is perfect for using up all those little scraps. It's a great design even without the die. 🙂

  • Thank you, Rita! The die is great, but the card design would still be easy without the die. The squares are 1 1/16". I have used a sketch where the squares were all 1 1/4", so that would probably work too. You would just have less of a border around the card. Happy crafting to you! 🙂
