This month’s Operation Write Home ODBD card challenge is perfect for me. The challenge is to have the sentiment as the main focus on a card. I tend to mostly use sentiments and patterned paper rather than images on my cards. Although sometimes, I love adding a fun paper pieced image. The first card is my entry for the March ODBD challenge.

sketch – Sketch Saturday #352

paper – Doodlebug – Hip Hip Hooray

circle die cuts –  Spellbinders

star die cut – Lil Inker Designs

stamp – The Stamps of Life

pearl pen – Viva Decor

ink – Versafine

For my second card, I played with the MFT die cut and heat embossing.

paper – Doodlebug – Hip Hip Hooray

quilt die cut – My Favorite Things

stamp – Lawn Fawn

embossing ink – Versamark

embossing powder – Joann’s

twine – Divine Twine

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

  • Oh Kristie both cards are just fabulous. I LOVE the very clean look of the first card – your paper choices are perfect! Such lovely work you do! thanks so much for joining us this week at Sketch Saturday.

  • Spectacular colors! They really pop against the black. (You made me go on amazon and buy three pads of Doodlebug paper.)

  • Love the colors you used in your card, Kristie. The papers all look fabulous together and create wonderful visual interest with the CAS look of your card. Your card makes the sketch pop. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Sketch Saturday. Good luck! Cathy xx
