Hello friends! At the beginning of 2021, I decided to try something different. Whenever I finish off a 6×6 paper pad, I usually have a few leftover paper scraps. I collected all of the scraps throughout the year and challenged myself to make a few more cards.
This sounded like a fun idea until I dumped out the contents of the box onto my craft table. Yikes! I finished off 37 different paper pads last year. There were so many different colors, designs and holiday themes in the mix. I really wasn’t sure if I would be able to make anymore cards. But I did find ways to mix and match the different patterns and created 13 more cards. I think that’s pretty good considering I would generally just toss the leftovers into the recycle bin.

I made an additional 13 cards using the leftover pattern paper scraps.

Oh wow, Kristie! These are fabulous! I am so very impressed at the fact that you actually made cards using your scraps. I probably would have been a ball of stress trying to figure out what to do. You amaze me. Thank you for sharing and I look forward to watching this video. You have some lovely pierced background dies!
Wow–your scrappy cards look excellent! So much better than mine! Every year or so, I pack up left-over things like ephemera, die cuts, cut aparts, and mostly-used bling, stickers, and paper pads to pass them along to a teacher friend. (I tend not to share smaller scraps unless I have punched or die cut them.) She distributes them to some scout troops and shares them with other teachers. Last spring she sent pictures of how her students used the items and it was really run to see what they did with them. 🙂
I like your idea of putting all the scraps together in one container. I usually put them with the paper pad that they come with. Your idea is better because they are all together for when I make A2 cards. Most of my cards are A7 which I would use larger cuts of paper. You have some great cards and I appreciate your ideas.

What a lovely set of cards. They look so great and not at all made from scraps.
I went MFT to order the quilt die, but alas, it is out of stock. 😕 Hopefully, I will get notified when it returns.
I did manage to order the scalloped heart die from Studio Katia and the quilt circle panel on Scrapbook.
Can’t wait to get them!!
