Hello friends! I had the opportunity to use one of Love From Lizi’s paper packs. It includes 16 sheets of 8×8 paper. Half is specialty paper (glitter, pearlescent, fabric textured) and the other half is double-sided paper. The collection has beautiful, bold colors.
I made 10 cards using Love From Lizi’s Watercolor Wonders paper pack.
Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.
This isn’t a kit, so there aren’t any stamps, dies, or embellishments included. I used items from previous Love From Lizi kits and mega packs for my cards.
Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home and the newer Mojo Monday sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using the Love From Lizi Watercolor Wonders paper pack.

OMG Penny is so funny! (no wearing a tail, eh? ha ha!) Her card making is getting so good, too! Have cats surpassed giraffes as her favorite animal? It must be nice to have someone to share all your craftiness with. Your cards are great–I can't believe those wild papers could be tamed, but you did it–all the cards came out really well! I love the sketches you chose for your scraps, too. TFS your cards and Penny!
Hi there! I have been following your blog for awhile now and love your cards & method! You have taught me a lot about making cards 🙂 In your videos you state that you give cards to charity. Are they local? Do you always write in them? How did you go about finding local charities that would accept the donation? Thanks!
Wow, Kristie, there are some really vibrant and bold patterns in the watercolor papers and you used them beautifully. I look forward to watching the video. It looks like you found some new sketches, too. These are wonderful cards and I thank you for sharing. Sounds like Penny made an appearance, which makes me even more excited to watch. 🙂 Have a lovely weekend!
Hi Kristie!! Wanted to jump on and say that I watched another YTer pull out a beautiful paper pad; there was a cut apart page, and one sentiment read, “Pink is not just a color, it’s an ATTITUDE”!!?? Whoo hoo! Thought of you immediately!??? I couldn’t see the name of the pad, sorry.
Nope. No wearing a tail to school. Lol! She wears one at home all the time. Giraffes are still her favorite animal, but cats are a close second. Penny was thrilled to guest design. She asks all the time, but I know not everyone enjoys watching children create cards. I was actually a bit nervous about using the busy papers at first. But once I got started, it was really fun to choose sketches that highlighted the pretty patterns. 🙂
Thank you, Rebecca! I appreciate your kindness. I have always donated my cards to different organizations. Currently, I only donate locally. I give cards regularly to local retirement homes, a small charity, and my church. Occasionally, I put together gift baskets of cards for silent auction fundraisers. I write uplifting messages inside all the cards for the retirement home residents. A friend of a friend connected me with the small charity to donate cards. I approached the retirement home and asked if they had a need for handmade cards. The need is out there. You just have to ask around. Hospitals and cancer centers are usually interested in cards, especially if you write an encouraging message inside. 🙂
Thank you, Jeanne! I try to find a few new sketches every once in awhile. But I will always have my favorites to use again and again. Penny was so happy to get the chance to guest design for me again. I hope you have a wonderful week! 🙂
Oh, what a fun sentiment! I do love pink. A LOT! Lol! 🙂
