I have sad news today. The Flutter By Wednesday challenge is now closed. Life happens, and it was decided to close the doors. Even though I was only on the design team for a short time, I really enjoyed it. There were some super talented ladies on the team with me.
This is a card I had designed for a FBW challenge and I wanted to still post it as a farewell. I decided to go outside my comfort zone and try a new technique. I used some Tim Holtz distressing ink and created the night sky and mountains. The moon was simply a masked circle die cut before applying the ink. I think I need a little more practice at distressing, but overall I like how it turned out.
sketch – inspired from Sandy’s card
stamps – Lavinia Stamps by Tracey Dutton, Sweet n Sassy, and My Favorite Things stamps
star die cuts – Lawn Fawn and Martha Stewart
embossing folder – Lifestyle Crafts
ribbon – May Arts
Pearl pen – Viva Decor
ink – Tim Holtz and Versafine
I’m entering this card in the Lavinia Stamps challenge, Anything Goes. I seriously love these silhouette fairy stamps.
Thanks for visiting my blog today!
I'm sad to hear about flutterby closing. I was just gearing up to do more challenges along with OWH. Your card is absolutely stunning! I love the fairies and how they are arranged with the moon.
