Hello friends! This year already seems to be flying by. I can’t believe spring has arrived. I still have winter papers I wanted to use, but I guess I’ll set those aside for now and focus on spring cards. Honey Bee Stamps new Modern Spring collection is gorgeous and perfect for some spring card. They never disappoint with their beautiful paper collections. I used a large assortment of stamps and dies from their newest release for my cards. So many fun products. The Lovely Layers : Tulips and Bugs are my favorite!

I have a little giveaway for my Blog followers. I received a set of Honey Bee Stamps Small Card Hot Foil plates. I still don’t own a hot foil machine, so I decided to give my set away to one randomly selected commenter.

I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial and one paper pad to make 32 cards.

Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.

Or, go HERE to watch my video on Rumble.

Here is the cardstock I pulled before starting on the 6×6 paper pad. I always pull out way more cardstock than I ever use. I list the brands and colors if I have the information. Some of my cardstock has been in my craft room for many, many years.

In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 18 sheets of  8 1/2″ x 11″ and 5 sheets of  12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.

Cardstock colors –
Pine Feather – Paper Tray
Peach Fuzz – Coredinations
Peach – Coredinations
White shimmer – Amazon

Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. All my cards are American standard A2 size. For sketches that don’t include measurements, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Honey Bee Stamps Modern Spring 6×6 paper pad.

  • It is snowing where I am, so these spring cards were a welcome site! You always have the best ideas for using card sketches to come up with fabulous cards. I recently got a hot foil machine and need to build up my supply of foiling dies, but so far I am enjoying it. Thank you for offering the give away.

  • Love when you do these posts and videos, gives me so many ideas on how to use all those paper pads I had to have! And I love to see your creativity. Super excited HoneyBee is coming out with Hot Foil Plates now….. thanks for sharing.

  • I love each of your videos and the cards you make. I rewatch videos in order to get inspiration. I have just bought a hot foil machine but as of yet have no hot foil plates?

    • Kristie, I love watching your videos. I get so much inspiration from you and I want to thank you for sharing your talents with all of us. I love using the 6×6 paper pads for my cards as the patterns are nice and small. I loved all the cards you made with this paper pad.

  • Great video—wonderful designs. I’ve been using Honey Bee’s glue for about a year, and it’s now my favorite liquid adhesive. Never clogs, easy to squeeze.

  • Love these new prints but I am IN LOVE with the creative way you make your cards. I try to watch other people make cards but no one does it like you Kristie!

  • I love the bugs set, particularly that dragonfly. (I bought the set just for the dragonfly). As always, your cards are amazing. I was watching and trying to find out what was missing and I realized as part of the design team you need to use all Honey Bee Stamps products and that is where there are no peel offs. I get a calm feeling from this set of cards and loved the inspiration you provided. (I do not want to be considered for your prize as I also do not have a foiling machine.)

  • Wow, love all the lovely cards you made from this paper pad and the great dies and stamps you used. Love the Layered Tulips dies. Thanks for sharing all the inspiration.

  • Beautiful cards, Kristie! You are filled with inspiration. I’m a little surprised you haven’t tried the glimmer hot foil system. It’s an easy way to add some shine and there are some gorgeous iridescent foils. I’d love to win those plates. Thank you for the chance! Have a fabulous day! Hugs!

  • I am with you on that tulip paper–it’s so pretty! I love your dragonflies, especially with the glimmer wings, and the tulip builder dies are awesome. You did a great job with all the cards–as someone above said, they are really calming. You always make it look so easy (and fast.) I haven’t gotten a hot foil press, either, so please don’t consider me for the giveaway, but that is so nice of you to offer it. I know whoever gets it will be thrilled!!
