Hello friends! I’ve received quite a few requests to do more masculine 6×6 paper pad videos. As much as I love making pink and sparkly cards, I don’t mind using more masculine or gender neutral papers. After all, the cards are not for me. I donate most of the cards I made, so I think it’s important to use a variety of paper styles. However, there aren’t always a lot of good masculine paper pads available. Especially ones for adults. There are usually lots of cute baby boy collections.

So when one of my crafty friends pointed out Heidi Swapp’s Wolf Pack collection, I immediately purchased it. There are a bunch of fun ephemera, stickers, and other embellishments that coordinate with the collection, but I chose to add in products I already own.

I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial and one paper pad to make 41 cards.

Because it takes many hours to turn a 6×6 paper pad into cards, this video has been sped up 7 times. The real time recording was just over 6 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.

In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 21 sheets of  8 1/2″ x 11″ and 5 sheets of  12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.

Cardstock colors –

Black – Recollections

All other colors – unknown

Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home and the newer Mojo Monday sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Heidi Swapp’s Wolf Pack 6×6 paper pad.

  • What a terrific set of cards, Kristie! I appreciate your perspective on card making. We make them for others and it's good to step out of our comfort zone to include those that aren't always the easiest for us to create. You have wonderful examples of masculine cards here using some fun new to me sketches. I just might have to pick up that paper pad as I'd like to make more cards for my brothers. Have a terrific weekend!

  • What a great group of masculine cards! Awesome paper pack. I love the soft greenish/ card stock you used for layering–perfect! I like how you used the tree "scene" to make the first cards and OWH 256, and I also like MjM 516 and the last card with the howling wolf. I think my favorite was the the shaker–i LOVE that moon paper and the shaker was awesome!! Thank you for another great video!!

  • Thank you, Jeanne! I really enjoy the challenge of using papers that aren't necessarily my first choice since they aren't bright and pink. This paper collection was very enjoyable and I really need to use masculine papers more often. 🙂

  • Thank you! The paper collection has just a hint of the green color on some of the designs, so I liked including the green and kraft cardstock on my cards. And the moon paper just NEEDED the fun little Queen & Co rocket shaker. 🙂
