Now that Christmas is over, it’s time to focus on some non-holiday cards. Since winter recently started here in the United States, I thought I’d make some wintery cards. I’m using Echo Park’s A Perfect Winter collection. The colors and designs are just lovely. There are lots of snowflakes and flowers with a few wood grain designs.

I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial and one paper pad to make 33 cards.

I recorded my entire process of disappearing the 6×6 paper pad. The video is sped up 7 times since the full recording time was around 4 1/2 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.

In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 12 sheets of  8 1/2″ x 11″ and 3 sheets of  12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.

Here are the pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Echo Park’s A Perfect Winter 6×6 paper pad.

  • Thank you for the templates for the cards. I bought several 6 x 6 pads at a convention I went to. I cannot wait to use these techniques to build my card stash.

  • You are very welcome, Gwen! I'm always happy to share with fellow crafters. I hope you enjoy making cards with your new 6×6 paper pads. I've been using 6×6's for many years and still love using them. Happy crafting to you! 🙂

  • Do you also supply envelopes with your cards?

I really like the ones you put together with the quilt dies. But do you use the dies to put them together and on the cards.

  • Hello! Yes, I always include envelopes with my cards. I buy them by the case from Heinrich and it's a reasonable price in bulk.
I didn't actually use any quilt dies for this set of cards. The final card I used a cover die with all the small squares. I cut out the frame, then all the individual squares and then assemble the card.
