Echo Park’s Magic and Wonder 6×6 cards

I decided to challenge myself to use only one sketch for the entire 6×6 paper pad. The 6×6 collection is called Magic and Wonder and it’s by Echo Park. It has a great mix of tone on tone and pattern paper designs. The colors are bright and cheerful and work well for either male or females.

I donate most of my cards to a variety of different local places. For this set of cards, I wrote uplifting messages inside each of them and took them to a local retirement home. The cards will be given to the residents with the sole purpose of simply putting a smile on someone’s face. I believe even a small act of kindness can make a big difference.

I made a total of 34 cards using one 6×6 paper pad.

I recorded my entire process of disappearing the 6×6 paper pad. The video is sped up 7 times since the full recording time was just over 3 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cut time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.

In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 31 sheets of  8 1/2″ x 11″ solid colored cardstock. Here are all the leftover scraps.

I wanted to use a sketch that had some different elements to it, so I chose sketch #184 from Operation Write Home. It looked like the perfect sketch that wouldn’t leave me with lots of leftover scraps.

At this point, I had already made 32 cards and only had a small pile of scraps leftover. I could have easily tossed the scraps into the recycle bin. But I decided to pull out my goto sketch for finishing off a paper pad, #154 from Operation Write Home. I may not have met my challenge of only using one sketch, but I was really close. I made 2 last cards using this sketch.
