Hello friends! With the holiday season upon us, there are so many 6×6 paper pads I want to use. I’ll be rotating between Halloween, fall, and Christmas collections for the couple months.

I figured it was time for a Christmas collection. I chose Echo Park’s Away in a Manger 6×6 paper pad.

I also purchased the nativity silhouette die and the coordinating ephemera pack. I love all the sentiments and images. They are perfect for the Christian themed Christmas colleciton. Just like my previous 6×6 video, I didn’t use any stamp sets. I stuck with the ephemera and cut aparts included in the paper pad. This paper pad includes a total of 32 cut aparts. So there’s quite a bit.

I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial and one paper pad to make 41 cards.

Because it takes many hours to turn a 6×6 paper pad into cards, this video has been sped up 6 times. (This is bit slower than I usually do. But I figured I would try it since I’ve received many requests to slow down. However, now the finished video is a bit longer than normal.) The real time recording was around 6 1/2 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.

In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 15 sheets of  12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.

Cardstock colors –

Blackberry Swirl – Bazzill

Avocado – Bazzill

Thicket – Bazzill

Deep Berry Red – Color Mates

Specialty cardstock  by Tonic Studios

Mirror Card – Spring Silver

Mirror Card – Harvest Gold

Pearlescent – Majestic Gold

Pearlescent – Ivory Sheen

Pearlescent – Lemon Lustre

Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. For sketches that don’t include measurements, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Echo Park’s Away in a Manger 6×6 paper pad.

  • Beautiful cards Kristie. I absolutely love the Echo Park Nativity die that you used on the last card ♥.
I am happy to see someone else prepping for Christmas.

  • These cards are lovely, Kristie! Good for you for starting early. If I were smart, I'd do the same. I'm working on the Fall cards from your last video though! 🙂

  • What a lovely set of cards. I really like how you combined the specialty papers with the paper pad! This put me in the mood for some holiday crafting myself! Favorites: MFT 399, Sw Sun 265, Sk Sat 400 (can't wait to try those out!) and the nativity set die cuts! Thanks for another great video!

  • Is is hard to get the peel offs straight??? Is it expensive to ship from UK?
I send for the Away in the Manger pack and am impatiently waiting for it…lol. Love that pack!!!
Thanks for the encouragement….and glad you took time off to go to Hawaii!!!! When my son goes back for duty there I WILL be visiting also!!!!

  • Thank you! I still need many, many more Christmas cards. So you'll be seeing more Christmas videos from me in the next couple months. 🙂

  • Thank you, Jeanne! I have to get an early start or I'll never finish in time. But I'll still be making more fall and Halloween cards. 🙂

  • Thanks, Jennifer! I'm a bit obsessed with specialty paper now, so you'll be seeing it quite a bit in my 6×6 videos. Lol! I'll keep trying new sketches so you can have more in your sketch library. 🙂

  • Hi Gerri! I don't think it's very hard to put the peel offs on straight. But I have a bit of crafty OCD. Lol! Yes, international shipping can be expensive. Lizi has offered few free shipping sales in the past. I will always share about the sales on either my social media pages or YouTube.
I hope you enjoy the Away in a Manger paper collection. It really is beautiful!
Enjoy your time in Hawaii and thank your son for his service for me. I am very grateful for his dedication to our country. 🙂

  • I tried to set up an account with Love from Liza. I really wanted to order some peal off stickers. I just couldn't read the captcha letters/numbers. I tried 3 times.
I love your card ideas and am going to use them for my Christmas cards this year.

  • Thank you, Joanne. Those captcha words are so hard to read sometimes. I would suggest emailing Love From Lizi. support@lovefromlizi.com Hopefully she can help you set up an account. Her peel off stickers are amazing and I want to use them on all my cards. 🙂
