Echo Park – My Favorite Winter – 27 cards from one 6×6 paper pad
Hello friends! I take cards every month to the residents at a nearby retirement home. They are Happy Mail cards, so I include a little message inside every single one. I decided to use Echo Park’s My Favorite Winter 6×6 paper pad for some cheerful winter cards. This collection is from 2019, but I never got around to using it. I love all the pretty patterns and patriotic colors, with a touch of brown. I did purchase the coordinating ephemera and used quite a bit. I also used several of the cut aparts that are included in the paper pad.
Because it takes many hours to turn a paper pad into cards, this video has been sped up 6 times. The real time recording was just under 5 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time.
Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.
Here is the cardstock I pulled before starting on the 6×6 paper pad. I always pull out way more cardstock than I ever use. I list the brands and colors if I have the information. Some of my cardstock has been in my craft room for many, many years.
In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 6 sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ and 11 sheets of 12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.
Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. All of my cards are A2 size. For sketches that don’t include measurements, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Echo Park’s My Favorite Winter 6×6 paper pad.

I love seeing your cards but I can’t sit there and watch you make two cards on the same style and paper….
Why not do one then show your second card afterward like some other videos…
Do you need to put more video time on YouTube?
My 6×6 videos were the first I ever made. They are extremely popular. I realize some people don’t enjoy watching the entire process, so I do mix up the styles. I actually post more videos where I only record the assembly of one card, then show the other similar cards. I like to offer a variety so there’s something for everyone. 🙂
What a sweet paper pad. You’ve made some delightful cards with it. The residents are sure to love them! Thanks for all the time and effort you put into every project you share. Your time is precious and I appreciate every minute you spend on sharing your talents, in whatever format you choose! 🙂 Making one style, multiples of a style, it’s all good! Merry Christmas week to you!
Thank you so much! It’s so nice to be ahead with my January cards for the retirement home residents. I appreciate your continued support and kindness. I try to share a variety of videos styles. It’s fun to mix them up so I’m not always recording full voiceovers or only adding music. I hope you have a wonderful and peaceful New Year!
I totally laughed at the description of your “planning process.” This paper collection is so great–I love the deep blues and reds, as well as the cute ephemera! They are sure to make the residents smile! I like this style video–it’s fun to watch all the patterned paper piles get smaller with the finished card stack getting larger. I also like the mix you have with the voiced-over ones, the unboxing ones, 10 cards, one kit videos, and the very practical ones like how to change tape rolls in the ATG. And that dark gray mat is very nice–the cards really stand out nicely! TFS!
Heehee! I think some people believe I have this big and fancy planning process for my 6×6 videos. I really don’t. Sometimes the staring lasts longer than other times though. Lol! I really like this paper collection and was surprised I didn’t use it earlier this year. I must have run out of time. Thank you so much for your kindness and continued support. I do try to mix up my video styles. It’d be tiring to always record full voiceovers. (They take me the longest since I’m terrible at voiceover.) I hope you have a wonderful New Year! 🙂
Sometimes I have to stare at my paper, too. Glad to know it’s not only me. Your voiceovers sound great, but I can imagine they take a while. You have a good mix of everything. Happy new year to you as well!!
