Hello friends! As much as I love using all the amazing monthly card kits, sometimes it’s just fun to grab a 6×6 paper pad and some random supplies to make cards. I’m used the Coffee collection from Echo Park this time. I really like the color palette and lovely designs in the the collection. Plus, I own several coffee related stamp sets that worked perfectly with it.

I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial and one paper pad to make 33 cards.

Because it takes many hours to use up a 6×6 paper pad, this video has been sped up 7 times. The real time recording was just over 4 1/2 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.

In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 17 sheets of  8 1/2″ x 11″ and 7 sheets of  12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.

Cardstock colors –

Black – Recollections

Peach – Darice

Mediterranean – Darice

Moonstone – Coredinations

Victorian Velvet – Coredinations

Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Echo Park’s Coffee 6×6 paper pad.

  • What a cute set of cards! I think that MFT 286 is my favorite but I really like the pieced coffee cup on Mojo Monday 502, too. They are all really cute–it's hard to choose! It was really fun to see the stamp sets with all the different designs for the coffee in the cups–just like the baristas make at the fancy coffee shops. Thank you for another great video!!

  • Delightful set of cards, Kristie. I really like the color palette. I see bits of pink, too. I really like the floral cards. Great job on each one! So glad you got to just play!

  • Thank you, Jennifer! Even though I don't like to drink coffee, I love all the fun coffee stamp sets. That's why I own 3 different sets. LOL!

  • I don't drink coffee, but I think the sets are really cute. Plus, I don't make cards for myself. I make them to give to others. Otherwise, I would probably only make pink sparkly cards. Lol!

  • Love the cards you made Kristie.
Just a question about the sketches that you use – how do you choose which ones to use and in which order to use them to break down a 6×6 pad?
Wanting to attempt a pad break down but unsure where to start.

  • Thank you, Tracy! I usually start by choosing sketches that may be new to me, or will work well with a sentiment or image I want to use. Sometimes I select a sketch that I know will highlight the pattern paper. Then after I have used up all the full sheets of pattern papers, I select sketches based on what size scraps I have available. I suggest just choosing a sketch that appeals to you, make a few cards, then choose another sketch, make a few more cards, and continue until the paper pad is pretty much all gone. 🙂
