Echo Park | A Slice of Summer | 29 cards from one 6×6 paper pad
Hello friends! Anyone else still working on summer cards? I’m excited to get started on fall cards, but I have a few more summer collections I want to use first. I used Echo Park’s A Slice of Summer 6×6 paper pad. It’s a fun collection with bright, cheerful colors and lots of summery fruit. I decided to keep the cards nice and flat since I’ll be donating the cards to a local charity. No thick bling or foam dimension on any of the cards this time.
Because it takes many hours to turn a paper pad into cards, this video has been sped up 5 times. The real time recording was just under 5 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time.
Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.
Here is the cardstock I pulled before starting on the 6×6 paper pad. I always pull out way more cardstock than I ever use. I list the brands and colors if I have the information. Some of my cardstock has been in my craft room for many, many years.
In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 10 sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ and 9 sheets of 12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.
Cardstock colors – Imperial – Coredinations Emerald City – Bazzill Mediterranean – Coredinations Dark Seas – Bazzill Wax Lips – Bazzill
Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. All of my cards are A2 size. For sketches that don’t include measurements, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Echo Park’s A Slice of Summer 6×6 paper pad.

What a lovely paper collection. These cards are wonderful, Kristie. You have a great eye for finding gems of paper collections. I like that you let the papers do most of the “talking” on these cards. Great job! Thanks so much for sharing. I know there is a lot of work involved in getting cards like this and posts like this published.
Kristie!
I’m so happy your going to be doing Spellbinder kits, I love you card maker above all others! I do have two love from Lizi thanks to you. Spellbinders is my favorite kit and with your inspiration I will hopefully get them done!
You totally rock as a card maker!
Many warm wishes
Patricia
I LOVE those fruit dies–they match perfectly with this set. I also love the lemon paper, and the cherries, the campers, the ladybugs… this pack had so many cute designs! My favorite cards are Sketch Saturday 617, Nov Sheetload with the ladybug paper, and OWH 123 & 218–oldies but goodies! They are all really sweet and happy. Thanks for another great 6 x 6 video!
Thank you so much for sharing. I never have the papers you use, but I totally enjoy the fantastic way you use your materials. It’s a challenge for me to use what I have. You truly are an inspiration.
