Hello friends! It’s hard to believe Easter is just around the corner. I wanted to make sure I made enough Easter cards to bring to a local retirement home. Every month, I bring cards to the residents. For holiday months, I bring enough cards for all of the residents. For non-holiday months, I bring about 45 cards.Â
For all of the cards going to the retirement homes, I include a handwritten message on the inside. The cards are Happy Mail for the residents. Currently, the home does not have a need for blank cards for the residents to use.
Instead of purchasing a new Easter paper pad, I dug in my stash for older collections to use. I had several 12×12 sheets of Doodlebug Easter paper that was included in a grab bag I purchased last year. I also used several sheets from their Hippity Hoppity 6×6 paper pad. (This is a retired Doodlebug collection.) All of the stamps and dies I used are from Jaded Blossom. I love their adorable Chubby Bunny die set!
I cut out enough pieces to make 22 cards. The retirement home currently has around 90 residents, but I have a local friend that made the other 45 cards. (I used a different collection for the other 23 cards.)
Sometimes I enjoy making cards in mass production. Once everything is cut, stamped and die cut, assembly goes quickly.
After I stamp a sentiment on the inside of the card, I add a handwritten message. And yes, I will write the same message inside all 45 cards. On the back of the card, I stamp ‘Random Act of Kindness to Brighten you day’. This is a custom made stamp I purchased years ago.
I always include envelopes with every card I donate. For the cards going to the retirement homes, I’ll stamp either an image or sentiment on the front of the envelope. It helps the Activity Coordinator at the home know the card theme. On the back of the envelope, I add a cute piece of washi tape. I don’t use the glue on the envelope since it can be hard to open.

Earlier this month, I made another 23 Easter cards. I used a retired paper pad from Paper Rose Studio. I forget to write down the name of the collection and now I can’t find it online. They have some cute new Easter collection available. I may pick up one for next year’s cards since I’m basically out of Easter papers now.
I used a couple different sentiments from Jaded Blossom and also a cute bunny and basket die from Honey Bee Stamps.
