Welcome to Part Nine of my latest 6×6 series. I’m using the Fairy Tales collection from Doodlebug Design and my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial to make cards.

When I came across this sketch from Sketch Saturday, I was wasn’t quite sure if I liked it or not. But sometimes sketches that don’t first appeal to me, turn out to be really fun. I decided to flip the sketch on it’s side so I could use a horizontal sentiment and image off to the side.

I made a total of 4 cards using this sketch.

Sketch – Sketch Saturday #469

Ice cream die cut – Reverse Confetti

Sentiment stamp – Reverse Confetti

Flower stamp – Lawn Fawn

Sentiment die cut – My Favorite Things

Markers – Copic

Embossing folder – Darice

Ink – Lawn Fawn

Thanks for visiting my blog today!

  • Kudos to you for trying a sketch you weren't sure about. I am not that brave! And sometimes I can't visualize what it's going to look like, so then I really chicken out. I really like the THANKS sentiment cutout, and the ice cream cone is a great touch on the first card.

  • Thank you, Jennifer! I think I was a bit adventurous with this 6×6 since I wasn't filming the process this time. This was the first time I tried this sketch and I kinda like it. The THANKS sentiment die cut was perfect.
