Hello friends! I was in the mood to turn another 6×6 paper pad into cards. This time I used Doodlebug Design’s Hoppy Easter collection along with their new coordinating stamps and icon cardstock sticker sheet. The stamp set includes lots of adorable images and plenty of sweet sentiments. I don’t color often, but the images aren’t too detailed so even I can handle coloring them. Of course, I would purchase the stamps just for the sentiments. The paper collections always include plenty of cute papers and cut aparts, so the stamps really just compliment them.

I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial and one paper pad to make 37 cards.

Because it takes many hours to use up a 6×6 paper pad, this video has been sped up 7 times. The real time recording was around 6 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.

In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 9 sheets of  8 1/2″ x 11″ and 15 sheets of  12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.

Cardstock colors –

Boysenberry – Darice

Light purple – unknown

Turquoise – unknown

Easter Grass – Bazzill

Juicy Pear – Bazzill

Circus Peanuts – Bazzill

Light pink – unknown

Lipgloss – American Crafts

Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Operation Write Home and the newer Mojo Monday sketches are the only ones that already provide measurements. For all the other sketches, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Doodlebug Hoppy Easter 6×6 paper pad.

  • Oh goodness! A whole lot of happy here! These cards are fabulous! I can't wait to dig in and watch the video. You are a marvel, Kristie!

  • Thanks, Jeanne! Doodlebug papers are always fun to use. I just love their new coordinating stamp sets. 🙂

  • Wow. All I can say is wow. I ran across your blog when hunting up “ card sketches”. … and I have to say- I am amazed. You are just amazing. Thank you for sharing your talent and being an inspiration! I have not been much for 6×6 pads in the past- but I think I will start! So I have to ask- do you already have the insight to which sketches go well together to make the best use of your pad???

  • I was thinking/hoping you'd have a Doodlebug video with their new stamps!! I was super excited when I saw them–they are just as cute as their papers. Love your coordinating paper, too. This batch is great and will be sure to make the nursing home residents smile! Thank you for a fun video!!

  • Thank you! Doodlebug just released their stamp sets this month and they are all sooooo cute. I've only purchased the Easter set so far. 🙂

  • Thank you for your kind words, Rhonda. I really appreciate it. I'm so happy you find my blog as well. 😉
I just love using 6×6 paper pads. I rarely ever use 12 x 12 paper anymore. I do not plan out which sketches to use for each paper pad. I just start with a few sketches that look fun or I know will work well with the paper or images. Then as the paper starts to disappear, I look for sketches that will really utilize the available paper scraps. 🙂

  • Thank you, Jennifer! I couldn't resist buying the new DB stamps. (I've only picked up the Easter set so far. But I'm sure I'll convince myself to buy more later.) I do plan on using their new spring paper pad as well. 🙂

  • I can't even begin to tell you how much I enjoy your videos. I'm new to making cards, but your videos have inspired me. I know I can do it since your videos, even without voice-over, are perfect. I've even ordered the wonderful peel off stickers from Love From Lizi!

  • Thank you so much! I appreciate your kindness. Lizi's peel off stickers are simply amazing! Happy crafting! 🙂
