Hello friends! I always get quite a few requests to use Doodlebug paper pads. I do understand since they make some of the cutest paper collections. Now I know Christmas should be next on my list, but it’s already October and I really wanted to use Doodlebug’s newest collection, Candy Carnival. I still needed some more Halloween cards to give to all the residents at a local retirement home and Doodlebug’s Halloween collection is cute vs. scary.

I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial and one paper pad to make 30 cards.

Because it takes many hours to turn a 6×6 paper pad into cards, this video has been sped up 6 times. The real time recording was just over 5 1/2 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time. Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.

In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 13 sheets of  8 1/2″ x 11″ and 7 sheets of  12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.

Cardstock colors –

Black – Recollections

Easter Grass – Bazzill

Circus Peanuts – Bazzill

Gummy Bears – Bazzill

Specialty Cardstock by Tonic Studios

Holo Waves – Mirror Card

Frosted Silver – Mirror Card

Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. For sketches that don’t include measurements, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. I also included some sketches by Queen & Company that were designed to work with their Foundation die sets. All of my cards are A2 size. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Doodlebug Designs Candy Carnival 6×6 paper pad.

  • I saw this paper pad and was hoping you'd do a video–thank you! You made great use of your extra stickers–the cards are really fun! I think the Q&Co sketches will work even if one doesn't have the foundation dies–but I really see how helpful they are. These cards are really great and sure to make the recipients smile! TFS!!

  • It's always hard to resist using any of Doodlebug's paper collections. (Although I have.) Their Halloween collections are always perfect for donation cards since the designs are cute vs scary. The Queen & Co sketches still work great even if you don't have the dies. But, I do love the new dies. 🙂
