Hello friends! I’ve mostly caught up on my design team projects, so I decided to turn a 6×6 paper pad into a set of cards. My original plan was to use a winter collection, but I needed some cheerful colors and chose to use Doodlebug’s My Happy Place collection instead. It was released earlier this year and I just didn’t get around to using it. I bought a ton of stuff from the collection. Paper pad, several 12×12 sheets, ephemera, doodlepops, and shape sprinkles. So many fun goodies!
I focused mostly on Hello and Birthday sentiments for the cards since I will probably donate the majority of cards. I love that Doodlebug always includes quite a few non-themed designs in their paper collections that can be used year round.
I used my 6×6 Paper Pad Tutorial and one paper pad to make 30 cards. I did use several 12×12 sheets from the collection for my cards. Mostly the tone on tone patterns for the backgrounds.
Here is the cardstock I pulled before starting on the 6×6 paper pad. I always pull out way more cardstock than I ever use. I list the brands and colors if I have the information. Some of my cardstock has been in my craft room for many, many years.
In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 10 sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ and 5 sheets of 12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.

Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. All my cards are American standard A2 size. For sketches that don’t include measurements, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Doodlebug Design’s My Happy Place 6×6 paper pad and a few 12×12 sheets from the collection.

Adorable, happy cards! They are bright and cheerful, and oh so cute! It’s great you got to get in anther 6 x 6 video before the end of the year. I love that image of the dog sleeping in the chair–especially since my dog is curled up like that right next to me on the couch. 🙂 TFS!!
