Doodlebug Design – Made With Love – 34 cards from one 6×6 paper pad
Hello friends! Doodlebug released another adorable collection I just couldn’t resist. It’s called Made with Love. I think it was designed as a Valentine’s Day collection, but you could easily use the papers for other card themes. Especially with all the fun baking images and sentiments. I didn’t make any actual Happy Valentine’s Day cards, but I will be adding the sentiment inside the cards I give to the residents at a nearby retirement home.
Because it takes many hours to turn a paper pad into cards, this video has been sped up 6 times. The real time recording was just over 6 hours, not including any of my planning, prep, or die cutting time.
Watch the video below or click HERE to see it on YouTube.
Here is the cardstock I pulled before starting on the 6×6 paper pad. I always pull out way more cardstock than I ever use. I list the brands and colors if I have the information. Some of my cardstock has been in my craft room for many, many years.
In addition to using the 6×6 paper pad, I also used 10 sheets of 8 1/2″ x 11″ and 4 sheets of 12″ x 12″ solid colored cardstock.
I didn’t use most of the included tags from the paper pad. They are really small and the sentiments aren’t exactly ones I want to include on Valentine cards for the retirement home residents.
Here are close up pictures of the cards I made, including sketches and measurements. Most of my cards are A2 size. For sketches that don’t include measurements, I simply figure the measurements out on my own, for what works for me. Go HERE to see my video explaining how I determine card sketch measurements. All cards are made using Doodlebug Design’s Made With Love 6×6 paper pad.

Yep, it sure is hard to resist Doodlebug! This is a cute set of cards, Kristie. One can’t help but smile at those sweet faces. Thanks for sharing and inspiring. Crafty hugs!
I even tell myself I won’t be buying the new DB collections. Ha! That never lasts very long. Lol! It’s nice that this collection can be used year round. It doesn’t have to be exclusively valentine cards. Have a lovely weekend! 🙂
Love your videos and cards–but heartbreaking about those pink scissors. Yes, it’s easy to get attached to things–even little things, that others might not completely understand. I had a ruler like that and it got lost in a move. SOB, SOB..
Thank you so much, Deborah! Yes, it was a very sad day when my pink scissors broke. The new pair just isn’t the same. 🙁 So sorry you lost a favorite ruler.
Oh no–sorry about the magic scissors! I love the doodlebug paper and ephemera! How could you pass it up? You really made a lot of cards and used up just about every little scrap. After OWH 154, you really surprised me by making more! Great job! BTW, what is Penny doing without your scraps this year or has she graduated into getting her own paper pads? Thanks for sharing and good luck with the new scissors. 🙂
Thank you, Jennifer! It was a very sad day when my scissors broke. 🙁 But crafting must go on. Doodlebug always makes such adorable collections. They are very hard to resist. Lol! Penny is okay giving up the scraps this year. I told her I would buy her a full paper pad. She liked that idea! 🙂
