My daughter, Penny, has been a fan of paper crafting ever since she could reach the scraps on my craft table. Even before that, she would dig through my recycling bin to look at the fun patterned papers. At age 2, I gave her a pair of kids scissors to try. I soon had teeny tiny pieces of paper covering the craft room floor. When she could figure out how to use a small tape runner, around age 2 1/2, she was making cards on her own.
Now Penny is 6 years old. She still loves to craft. She’s even come up with her own Two-Handed Painting Style and Paint-Splattering Technique. You can see both of her methods in Sandy Allnock’s videos.
I thought it would be fun to record Penny and me making cards together. We used the same sketch and 6×6 paper pad. I realize the video is rather long. But, as a scrapbooker, it’s a preserved memory of my daughter and me crafting together. Time goes by so quickly and before I know it, Penny will be off to college.

The video of you and Penny card making together is priceless Kristie! I'm so glad you shared this video of the two of you. This is the most precious video ever and it makes me miss my 6 year old! She's 24 now and I'm off for a girl's weekend with her next weekend and you know some crafting will be done! We don't work on the same projects anymore (I'm a stamper, she's a stitcher) but we will work side by side and enjoy each other's company. I know you'll treasure this video even more as she gets older. Thanks for sharing it!
